Charles Chaplin

Sir Charles Spencer "Charlie" Chaplin, KBE (16 April 1889 – 25 December 1977) was an English comic ator, film diretor and composer best known for his work during the silent film era. He became the most famous film star in the world before the end of  World War I. Chaplin used mime, slapstick and other visual comedy routines, and continued well into the era of the talkies, though his films decreased in frequency from the end of the 1920. His most famous role was that of The Tramp, which he first played in the Keystone comedy Kid Auto Races at Venice in 1914.Chaplin was one of the most creative and influential personalities of the silent-film era. He was influenced by his predecessor, the French silent film comedian Max Linder, to whom he dedicated one of his films.                                                                                                                                                      
       

thanksgiving Day

The Day of Thanksgiving (in 1945: Thanksgiving Day), known in English as Thanksgiving Day is a holiday celebrated in the United States and Canada, observed as a day of gratitude, usually to God, the good events during the year. On this day, people give thanks with feasting and prayer. The first Thanksgiving Day in New England were festivals of thanksgiving to God in thanks to good harvests per year. For this reason, the Day of Thanksgiving is celebrated in the autumn after the harvest has been collected and is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. In the United States and in Canada, the Day of Thanksgiving is usually a day when people use their free time to spend with the family, making family dinners and large meetings. It is also a day when many people dedicate their time to religious thoughts, prayers and church services. For many years, the day of Thanksgiving was not established as a national holiday and is observed as such only in certain states, like New York, Massachusetts and Virginia.

Dia de Ação de Graças

O Dia de Ação de Graças (ao 1945: Dia de Ação de Graças), conhecido em ingles como Thanksgiving Day, é um feriado celebrado nos Estados Unidos e no Canadá, observado como um dia de gratidão, geralmente a Deus, pelos bons acontecimentos ocorridos durante o ano. Neste dia, pessoas dão as graças com festas e orações.                  Os primeiros Dias de Ação de Graças na Nova Inglaterra  eram festivais de gratidão a Deus, em agradecimento às boas colheitas anuais. Por esta razão, o Dia de Ação de Graças é festejado no outono , após a colheita ter sido recolhida e é comemorado na quarta quinta-feira de novembro.                                                                            Tanto nos Estados Unidos quanto no Canadá, o Dia de Ação de Graças é geralmente um dia em que as pessoas utilizam o tempo livre para ficar com a familia, fazendo grandes reuniões e jantares familiares. É também um dia em que muitas pessoas dedicam seu tempo para pensamentos religiosos, cultos na igreja  e orações.                          Por muitos anos, o dia de ação de graças nao foi instituiu como feriado nacional, sendo observado como tal em apenas certos estados americanos, como Nova Iorque, Massachusetts e Virgínia.                                                                      

Halloween

Halloween (halloween-hálouim-read is the original name in English language) is a traditional and cultural event, which occurs primarily in Anglo-Saxon countries, but with special relevance in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, with the source base and the celebrations of ancient peoples. The origin of Halloween dates back to the traditions of the peoples who inhabited the islands of Gaul and Britain between the years 600 BC and 800 AD. Although with marked differences from the current Pumpkins or the famous phrase''Trick or treat'', exported by the United States, which popularized the comemoração.Originalmente, Halloween was not related to witches.
This designation has been perpetuated and the celebration of Halloween, brought to the United States by Irish emigrants (people of Celtic culture and ethnicity) in the 19th century, became well known as''Halloween, a historical legend. The celebration of Halloween has origins in two trans course of history were mixing: the Origin pagan and Catholic origin.

Dia das bruxas

O dia das bruxas (halloween -lido hálouim- é o nome original na lingua inglesa) é um evento tradicional e cultural, que ocorre basicamente em países anglo-saxônicos, mas com especial relevancia no Estados Unidos, Canadá, e Reino Unido, tendo como base e origem as celebrações do antigos povos.                                            A origem do halloween remonta as tradições dos povos que habitaram a Gália e as ilhas de Grã-Bretanha entre os anos 600 a.C. e 800 d.C ., embora com marcadas diferenças em relação as atuais abóboras ou da famosa frase ´´Gostosuras ou travessuras´´, exportada pelos Estados Unidos, que popularizaram a comemoração.Originalmente, o halloween não tinha relaçao com bruxas.
Essa designação se perpetuou e a comemoração do halloween, levada até aos Estados Unidos pelo emigrantes irlandeses( povos de etnia e cultura celta) no século 19, ficou assim conhecida como ´´dia das bruxas, uma lenda historica.                                                                                                                                                           A celebraçao do halloween tem duas origens que no trans curso da História foram se misturando: a Origem pagã e a origem católica.

Mascots of the Pan-american games 2011

       The Organizing Committee of the Pan-American Games in Guadalajara released November 28, 2009 the mascots for the Pan-American games and Americans Parapan 2011. the mascots were presented officially on 10 February 2010. The mascots of 2011 are three games: Gavo (a blue agave plant), Huichi (a deer) and Leo (a lion). The creators prize money received by the Pan American Games 2011 mascot. Gavo What it is: a blue agave plant. What it represents: the region of the state of Jalisco region famous for the production of tequila. Huichi What it is: a deer that represents the southern state of Jalismo. The mascot is an allusion to feminine identity and traditions of Huichoi. Leo Leo is a lion that represents the strength of the people of Guadalajara.

Mascotes dos jogos Pan-americanos de Guadalajara 2011

      O comite Organizador dos jogos Pan-americanos de Guadalajara divulgou em 28 de novembro de 2009 as mascotes para o jogos Pan-americanos e jogos Parapan-americanos de 2011. as mascotes foram apresentadas oficialmente em 10 de fevereiro de 2010.                                                                                                                As mascotes dos jogos de 2011 são tres : Gavo (uma planta agave-azul), Huichi (um cervo) e Leo (um leão). Os criadores receberam premio em dinheiro pelas mascotes do Pan 2011.                                                         Gavo                                                                                                               O que é : um planta agave-azul.                                                                                                                         O que representa: a região do estado de Jalisco região famosa pela produção de tequila.                                            Huichi                                                                                                             O que é: um cervo que representa a região sul do estado de Jalismo. A mascote é uma alusão á identidade feminina e as tradições dos huichois.                                                                                                                        Leo                                                                                                       Leo é em leão que representa a força do povo de Guadalajara.
